Working on it …

So, I recently bought some new supplies to experiment with. More specifically, I’m mixing inks with watercolors and trying not to make a mess! Anyway, some experiments have been not so successful, and the jury is still out on the one I’m currently working on. I won’t post a picture of it until I know I will be satisfied with the outcome. In the mean time, read a few books, go on a trip, or something.

My NAVY Pin-up became a tattoo!

Wow, okay, deep breaths …. :)

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by someone who wanted to use my Navy pin-up, this one –>  , for a tattoo.  After exchanging a few emails and a few ideas about changes that he wanted to make, I couldn’t say no. I mean, my pin-up is now on a living canvas! I can’t think of a greater honor. I only asked for one thing in return, that he send me photos of the process. Joe really came through for me, and here it is:

Take This To Heart

Midnight Light

Branching out and trying some new media mixed with old.

Color pencils and watercolors on Canson watercolor paper, 11×15 in.

Saturday Night – Speed painting

I tried a “messier” style of painting today and completed this in around 7 hrs. I’m quite pleased with the outcome, even if I had to fight the instinct to blend, blend, blend :)
